Marco Rubio, The Dems’ Worst Nightmare, Our Best Hope
The news that former President Bill Clinton, Florida Governor Charlie Crist and unnamed White House staffers were in cahoots to get Democrat nominee Kendrick Meek to drop out of the Florida U.S. Senate race in favor of Crist reveals a critical insight into the Prog-Lib-Comm view of the future of American politics.
Fortunately, Representative Meek didn’t take the bait. He is pressing ahead with his campaign against Republican Marco Rubio, who’s been the prohibitive favorite for some time since forcing Crist out of the GOP primary.
The bottom line: Democrats realize that, upon election to the U.S. Senate, Marco Rubio will become the most prominent and influential Hispanic politician in America. Given where American demographics are headed with a rising Latino population, this is horrible news for the Dems.
It’s no coincidence that the bid to squeeze Meek out of a right to compete he won fair and square through hard work comes on the heels of a noxious speech President Obama made urging “Latinos to “punish their enemies,” i.e., those who did not support Obama’s amnesty for illegal immigrants.
The Prog-Lib-Comm powers-that-be are running scared that conservative black and Hispanic Americans are making inroads in the GOP, gaining opportunities to win elective office. Their growing presence and prominence will further disrupt the Dems’ attempt to maintain voting blocs based on racial division. It also will encourage like-minded members of those communities to join the GOP as an avenue to political participation.
Coming right before Halloween, this sorry episode with Mr. Meek demonstrates the underlying racism and masquerades that drive the Prog-Lib-Comm agenda. For them, Meek was disposable, someone to be tossed aside to hopefully block Marco Rubio’s ascent. For the deal to work, Charlie Crist, the political Lon Chaney, obviously assured the White House he would caucus with the Democrats even though elected as an Independent.
Bill Clinton’s role in the sordid matter raises a host of questions. Why spend what little remains of his presidential stature trying to help one the sleaziest politicians in American history? Perhaps the prospect of Marco Rubio rising to national prominence disrupts his dream of engineering a successful Hillary bid for the White House down the line.
The person who comes out of top in this whole event is, of course, Marco Rubio. Mr. Rubio has run a stellar campaign for the Senate seat, displaying sound leadership and a patriotism that is refreshing for the cynical times in which we find ourselves.
I urge you all to visit Marco’s web site, www.marcorubio.com, to learn what you may do this weekend to help him cross the finish line to a spectacular victory. It will be much more than an electoral win for Marco. It will be a great day for our children and grandchildren.
View his television ad, “A Generational Choice.” This video shows the real Marco Rubio, the one I met late last year who so impressed me with his genuine love of America, which he expresses with humility and pride.
“A Generational Choice” reminds me of a shorter version of the stirring Ronald Reagan speech, “A Time For Choosing,” in that it captures the essence of what’s at stake on November 2. It certainly captures the essence of an inspirational leader who gives us high hopes for our beloved nation’s future.

Liberals & Progressives: The Ultimate Racists
The Juan Williams/NPR episode this week revealed the ugly truth that has hidden beneath the surface for far too many decades: the worst racists in America are progressives and liberals, or as I call them, The Prog-Lib-Comms.
They displayed their contempt for black people in how they reacted to Juan Williams. He had the temerity to appear as a commentator on Fox News, the bane of all liberals because it presents authentically fair and balanced news coverage.
If you disagree with me, take The Forgotten Street challenge: watch the 6 o’clock Fox News with Bret Baier for a week. I then defy you to tell me that it isn’t the most objective news coverage you’ve seen in decades.
The folks at NPR, and the Prob-Lib-Comms in general, can’t handle the fact that Juan Williams is an intelligent, independent thinker who does not parrot the plantation line.
Liberals and progressives are the worst racists on the planet. They believe all black Americans should think alike and slavishly follow the party line. Those that don’t are excoriated as “Uncle Toms” and “sellouts.” How racist can you get?
Just look at how they react to Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. Truth be told, Justice Thomas is one of the most accomplished men in America. He should be exalted as a hero for all Americans.
This is a man who grew up subjected to the worst racism and in the most abject circumstances any of us could imagine. With the help of a loving family and strength of character that defies imagination, he ascended to a lifetime of achievement and dignity.
For those who are not familiar with Justice Thomas’ life, I urge them to read his autobiography, My Grandfather’s Son, A Memoir. It is one of the finest books I’ve ever read, one I could not put down or complete without tears flowing freely. The Justice is not only a fine human being, but an accomplished writer with a true sense of self. Simply put, he is a great man who should be celebrated by all Americans with pride.
For the Prog-Lib-Comms, he is an object of hatred and scorn because he rejected being a victim. Because he did not elect to live on their plantation, they’re doing all they can to tear him down, even today.
That is why I affirm this conclusion: liberals and progressives believe all black Americans should think alike and not stray from liberal orthodoxy, however contrary it might be to their principles and religious faith. In essence, liberals and progressives believe black people are incapable of thinking for themselves and have to be led, not inspired.
The treatment we’ve seen exhibited toward Juan Williams and Clarence Thomas this week by liberals and progressives confirms their dominance as the pre-eminent racists in America and the world.

The Crown Prince of Condescension
Just when you think that President Barack Hussein Obama could not get any more arrogant or condescending, he always finds a way to surprise you.
Speaking at a Democrat fundraiser in Massachusetts on Saturday evening, His Unctuousness said, “Part of the reason our politics seems so tough right now and facts and science and argument does not seem to be winning the day all the time is because we’re hardwired not to always think clearly when we’re scared. And the country’s scared.”
It’s becoming so much more understandable why this man has to rely on a teleprompter. It’s obvious an education from Columbia and Harvard Law School is not what it’s cracked up to be.
If I had uttered such a garbled mess in one of my classes at Princeton, I would have been hooted out of the room.
If we don’t think clearly when we’re “scared,” then why are the Democrats running for election this year on the old fearmongering chestnuts that Republicans want to destroy Social Security and Medicare, cut education spending and push more tax cuts for the rich?
I guess they figure if voters aren’t thinking clearly when they’re scared, they’ll vote to keep the status quo with the new Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse: Obama, Biden, Reid and Pelosi.
The President’s idea of facts and science is passing cap and trade to fight global warming, a problem that simply does not exist except in the minds of Marxists who want to destroy capitalism as we know it.
The President also thinks that “green” energy sources can replace our current reliance on coal, oil and natural gas to fuel our economy. That notion tells me that he clearly has no comprehension of elementary school mathematics.
There is no way on God’s green earth that solar, wind and biomass can produce enough energy to accomplish that pipe dream, especially at an economically feasible price without gargantuan government subsidies.
And, he thinks we are the ones not thinking clearly? I think he might be having flashbacks to his druggie college days at Occidental.
There is something wildly wrong with a President who thinks so little of those who oppose him. Americans have a rich heritage of spirited political debate and differences of opinion. His snide condescension and obvious disdain for everyday Americans who have inspired the Tea Party movement is unbecoming his office and speaks very poorly of him as an individual.
That’s why he is the Crown Prince of Condescension.

Time To Lighten Up?
I’m concerned that perhaps I’ve gotten a little too serious here, even though we live in extremely tough times. Let me assure you that on The Forgotten Street we do have a sense of humor.
So here goes:
-- President Obama has finally admitted that there are “no shovel-ready projects.’ That’s because all the shovels are in Washington D.C., where our alleged leaders are busy shoveling you-know-what all day long.
-- For those who still don’t grasp the superiority of capitalism over socialism, let me make it simple: South Korea, North Korea. Would you even consider buying a car made in North Korea? Didn’t think so.
-- You know things are bad when the President hasn’t spent as much time in the Oval Office as the night janitor, Monica Lewinsky and Caroline Kennedy.
-- POUTUS spends much more time on the golf course. It’s safe to say he now has more game than Tiger Woods. Clearly, Tiger’s best swinging happens off the golf course.
-- In a spirit of non-partisanship, let me offer this advice for Charlie Crist, who is struggling to catch Marco Rubio in the U.S. Senate race in Florida. Hey Charlie, how about a snappy campaign theme song? I’ve got the perfect choice: Pop Goes the Weasel!
-- First Lady Michelle Antoinette has taken it upon herself to lecture us about what we eat and feed our kids. Here’s a tip for her: lay off the ice cream, cheeseburgers and French fries yourself. If your caboose gets any wider, you’ll have to walk through doors sideways.
-- That’s quite a crew of czars and top advisors the President has assembled. Van Jones, Valerie Jarrett, Cass Sunnstein, Mark Lloyd, David Axelrod, Lisa Jackson et al. Collectively, (a very appropriate term), their ideas are nuttier than squirrel poop.
-- In the case of the ludicrous charges regarding foreign donations and the U. S. Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Axelrod has advanced a new, wholly un-American legal doctrine: you’re guilty until you prove otherwise. God forbid he turns his attention to the issue of crime. What will he advocate then, pre-trial hangings?
-- With predictions of the GOP taking control of the House, Speaker Nancy Pelosi may be looking for another job. Word on the street in Hollywood is that she’s up for the part of The Joker in the next “Batman” sequel. Maybe she can get Charlie Crist the part of Two-Face.
-- On another entertainment note, I don’t get the deal with this Justin Bieber dude. Hey, bud, the haircut is yesterday’s news. Ever hear of the Beatles? Speaking of the Fab Four, it’s clear the best person in the lot was Ringo.
-- The Senate debate between Dick Blumenthal and Linda McMahon in Connecticut wasn’t exactly must-see TV. I kept waiting for her to hit him with a chair, or give him a knee in the groin. I’m sure he would have run away, citing an old war injury.
-- On the sports front, I see where Viking quarterback Brett Favre is “questionable” for tomorrow’s game with the Cowboys. I think he’s been questionable for quite some time. He’s so washed-up he should take the place of Billy Mays as the spokesman for Oxy-Clean.
-- Leave it to Vice President Joe Biden to let the cat out of the bag. He claims President Obama has asked him to run for another term in 2012. Don’t get too excited, Joe, unless you think it must have been fun to be first mate on the Titanic.
--- It’s easy to see why Democrat Senate hopeful Chris Coons is Harry Reid’s “pet.” They have the same sparkling personality and, they’re getting neutered by their female opponents.
-- Who was that racist politician who noted that black Americans don’t watch “Meet the Press?” Oh yeah, it was the President. He gets a free pass. Can you imagine how the Elite Traitor Media would have pulled their dresses over their heads if Newt Gingrich had said something that idiotic?
-- Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar stormed off the set of “The View” the other day in an obvious publicity stunt. By doing so, they raised the IQ on the set by 100 percent.
-- Word has it the President is still trying to break his smoking habit. If he’d quit screwing America, maybe he wouldn’t feel the need to smoke. Just trying to help.

The EPA’s Destructive War On America
An editorial in today’s Wall Street Journal details how the Environmental Protection Agency has taken its charter to new extremes to illegally usurp state jurisdiction over implementing clean air laws.
EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson, a self-styled czarina, wants to regulate carbon emissions under the clean air laws enacted in the 1970’s. Clearly, Congress had no such intention at that time. Under the Clean Air Act, states were accorded the authority to run the relevant programs and issue necessary permits.
Frustrated by Congressional failure to pass cap and tax legislation, Ms. Jackson set a January 2011 deadline for states to revise their implementation plans to include carbon. The Lone Star State of Texas believes such action is unwarranted and unlawful. States that fail to comply with the arbitrary edict are threatened with a possible EPA moratorium on any major energy or construction projects. The EPA plan is to run the carbon permitting process itself in lieu of the states.
By filing suit in the D.C. appeals circuit, the Texas government seeks an emergency stay of the regulations, alleging that the EPA has gone beyond its powers. Because no major construction project now can move ahead without EPA air quality and pollution permits, Ms. Jackson has the dubious distinction of threatening to damage an economy already headed for life support.
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality estimates that 167 current projects will have to be cancelled next year alone, with many more in the pipeline suffering a similar fate.
By working to disrupt the federalist balance of power between Washington and the states, Ms. Jackson demonstrates the worst in “progressive” tendencies to centralize power and place it under control of a small, unelected elite.
The controversy raises a very critical question: Just whom does Lisa Jackson work for? Obviously, her disregard for the impact of her capricious action on the fragile economy make it clear she does not work in the best interest of the American people.
With the scientific evidence mounting daily that global warming is the single greatest scientific fraud in history, it comes down to this: follow the money.
Who most benefits from carbon regulation? What special interests are best served by government policies that work to destroy our major energy industries? By further weakening the economy and making America more dependent on foreign energy sources and manufactured goods, radical environmentalists help diminish America’s global presence and standing. Who does that benefit?
By raising these questions, am I questioning Ms. Jackson’s patriotism? You damn right I am!
Let’s fervently pray that the Lone Star State prevails in its battle to restore sanity to clean air regulations and implementation.

The Pakistani Double-Cross & Our Feckless Afghan Effort
The image of NATO fuel tankers burning in Pakistan should inflame Americans whose brave sons and daughters are being seriously undermined in their war effort.
The Pakis closed the border crossing at Torkham to protest a U.S. drone attack that left some Pakistani soldiers dead by mistake. The net effect was to make the tanker trucks sitting ducks for attacks by Taliban insurgents.
The swiftness and deadliness of these attacks suggests that the Taliban had advance notice of when and where the convoy would be halted. Since last Friday, more than 100 tankers have been attacked and destroyed, thus crippling a key logistical line into NATO forces in Afghanistan.
All signs point to the odious Pakistani ISI (Inter-Service Intelligence) spy agency as the culprit in cahoots with the Taliban.
While we can rail at the perfidy of our alleged ally, we also must look in the mirror and ask why we tolerate such a potential vulnerability in our supply line. Did the current military leadership not study Napoleon’s invasion of Russia during its early training?
We now must witness the spectacle of our government apologizing to the Pakistani government for the drone attack. Is it any wonder that radical Islamists laugh at Western government leadership for being a haven for 98-pound weaklings? In the wake of horrible natural disasters, we’ve provided Pakistan with hundreds of millions in emergency aid. The closed border and subsequent attacks on our tankers are the thanks we get.
This week we’ve seen the total ineptitude and moral bankruptcy of the Obama foreign policy for Afghanistan on full display. Word has surfaced that the Afghan government has opened peace talks with the Taliban in its bid to maintain some semblance of power.
The feckless U.S. State Department issued its support for these talks, whose end result could be an Afghan government that asks the Western alliance to leave and allows terrorist camps to once again flourish. The weakness we now demonstrate can only bring bad results.
As I’ve said before, our war strategy in Afghanistan is folly. With much fanfare, we announced a surge of troops only to undercut it by setting a deadline for withdrawal. All the Taliban must do now is be patient and wait for American public opinion to get fed up with the growing string of casualties as it did with Vietnam.
It is immoral for an American government to place the best trained military in the world in harm’s way without a clear sense of mission that is committed to achieving victory as quickly as possible through the use of all means at its disposal.
No one should have their son or daughter die for an ill-conceived policy that will leave America vulnerable once again.

Red Alert!
No doubt stung by the overwhelming success of Glenn Beck’s August 28 “Restoring Honor’ rally in Washington, D.C., a broad coalition of labor unions, liberal activists and general lefty loons plan to stage a counter rally called “One Nation Working Together” on Saturday, October 2, in our nation’s capital.
Among the groups involved are: the AFL-CIO, NAACP, SEIU, La Raza, AFSCME, AFT, the Rainbow Push Coalition, Obama’s Organizing For America, CODE PINK and the Communist Party USA. I can’t wait to see what their game plan is for America! I think it’s the destructive one already underway led by Barack Hussein Obama, a.k.a. TAWPE (The Absolute Worst President Ever).
The organizers are positioning the rally as a “recommitment to change” and the “biggest progressive demonstration in decades.”
It promises to be the largest gathering of progressives, liberals, pinkos, pure Commies and lefty loons since the last May Day parade in Moscow when Leonid Brezhnev was the Soviet Premier. I still cringe when I see the picture of President Jimmy Carter kissing Brezhnev of the cheek. At least it was the cheek on his face.
Broadcaster Beck managed to inspire hundreds of thousands of American patriots to come to Washington to reaffirm their commitment to Faith, Hope and Charity. The October 2 event no doubt is all about the looters and moochers coming together to see how much more they can steal from Americans who are the producers, who are the folks who live on The Forgotten Street.
I can’t wait to have the accusation of McCarthyism hurled at me for my characterization of the lefty wackos who hate all things Constitutional and American.
As it turns out, real historians are beginning to uncover the truth of what Senator Joseph McCarthy tried to do during the 1950’s before he was viciously smeared and ultimately destroyed by the Prog-Lib-Comm elite in government, the media, academia and Hollywood.
Truth to be told, the Wisconsin senator was one of the greatest patriots in American history, regardless of the vile lies and propaganda still being taught to our children and grandchildren.
Grove City College Professor Paul Kengor has a new book coming out, Dupes: How America’s Adversaries Have Manipulated Progressives for a Century. Relying on recently declassified Soviet and American documents, Dr. Kengor has uncovered a litany of treasonous activity that will make your hair curl and cause you to question the lies the left has spread for six decades about Joseph McCarthy and other patriots who recognized the “Red” threat posed by the Soviet Union and communism in general.
Dr. Kengor has written landmark books on the Cold War and President Ronald Reagan that demonstrate the fastidious historical scholarship and honesty he brings to his work. I urge you to get your hands on anything written by Paul Kengor if you truly want to understand the history of the 20th Century and the current crisis in which we now find ourselves. I am proud to call him my friend.
I can’t wait to see how the Elite Traitor Media will try to spin the October 2 rally in its obsessive drive to detract from the historic accomplishments of Glenn Beck in fueling the great awakening now underway among everyday Americans to the treachery that now threatens our Republic.
Let me add to the Prog-Lib-Comms bad news: inspired by Paul Kengor and other patriots, I have uncovered additional material about how we have been betrayed by our so-called ruling class. When I finally reveal what I’ve learned, the history of the last half of the 20th Century will be changed forever.
